Appreciated Dr. Weinsenthal's calm, pleasant personality. He met briefly with me on the morning of the surgeries, and made a personal 'check-in-on-me' phone call later both days (cataract surgery - 2 weeks apart). Given the size of his patient load, they could use a larger facility. The office staff is crammed in a small area - almost on top of each other. This cluster situation may have been the reason why on one of my visits I was not logged in as having arrived for my appointment. Normally, the appointment turn around time was 30-60 minutes; but on that day, I was there for 2 hours (even though the actual checkup took 10 minutes). The waiting room lighting was a bit hard on my eyes after the surgery - so I wore the sun glasses as I waited to see Dr. W. The Surgery Center individuals (both reception staff, and medical personnel) were wonderful - they were reassuring and comforting. Each prep-step was explained, and the nurses were very patient with me and my 'eyes' which do not easily cooperate when getting drops. Dr. Weisenthal is extremely skilled - and I am thankful for him.

I have worn glasses for sixty years and was somewhat concerned about having cataract surgery. My experience with Dr. Weisenthal and his staff was exceptional. Not only was the staff kind to me at the surgery site, and at his office, but also Dr. Weisenthal called me at home following each surgery. Both surgeries were successful, and for the first time in sixty years, I am not wearing glasses. What a gift.

When I was looking for an ophthalmologist in 2002, I asked my long time GP Dr John Michaels who he had used on himself. He recommended Dr Robert Weisenthal as the best of the best. Dr Weisenthal did Lasik surgery for astigmatisms on both my eyes in 2002. His thorough plan of preparation and follow up to these procedures made my process seem routine and I considered the results as nothing short of miraculous. In the last 2 weeks he performed cataract surgery, complicated by the previous Lasik surgery, on both my eyes with the same, thorough professionalism and expertise. His entire staff reflect this same friendly, helpful, attentive approach with every aspect of my eye care.
